Bisbee, a Cute Little Pygmy Owl

Here's a little owl that I just finished. He's going up for auction on eBay tonight.  This little guy is just a little under 4 1/2 inches tall.  His cactus home was needle felted. Then dyed. Finally, the spines were all hand sewn on with artificial sinew.  It was a bit more time consuming than I had anticipated. But I really like the effect.

This is such a beautiful piece in the photos but even more stunning in real life. I know because I'm the proud new owner of this little guy. He is wonderful and I love all the details you put into him like his spots and feathers and beak and feet. I love that he can stand on his own too! Great work! What is also SO amazing to me is all the detail work you put in on his lovely cactus nest. I can only imagine how long it must have taken you to hand tie all those pieces on the cactus. They are both really works of art and I'm so glad to finally get one of your pieces. Please know that this one has come to a very loving home for it. I've admired your work for such a long time. Thank you!!
