Mr. Peeps, Snuggles & Cherry

Snuggles  ~ 6 inches long

Cherry ~ 4 inches tall

Here it is Sunday, again and time for my next eBay auctions.  Cherry, Mr. Peeps and Snuggles all have the same reserve price of $135.00 and start tonight at 6:45 pm PST.  They also all share the same charity, Old Dog Haven. Sarvey Wildlife Care Center will be for next week.  I did a few things differently with these little guys. Cherry has wool flocked feet. It was kind of fun trying to figure out just how to give her the little white hairs that mice have on the tops of their feet. I first tried putting some merino in the chopper. I ended up with a nice ball of wool. I then used my scissors and cut the wool into tiny bits. that seemed to work better. I applied the wool to the still wet clay after I had sculpted the feet and hands. I really like how they turned out.  they look almost real.

Little Timothy Bigelow ~ Another Mousie

Well, it seems like I'm on a mouse kick. Here's another little guy I finished this morning. He just seemed to match this porcelain teacup that I had.  Hi9s little rose even matches the roses painted on the cup. His auction also starts tonight at 6:45 pm PST.  Plus, he has a reserve of $135.00.  I thought that I'd put him on tonight instead of next week. It's really getting close to Valentine's day when you consider the one week listing and the shipping time. Boy this year is flying by!

Black & White ~ Bretta & Heika

I finished these little ones a few days ago and they will start on eBay tonight @ 6:45 PM PST.  I kind of went with a Southern German theme for their names as Heika is a Swabian-Hall piglet and has a Bavarian sugar cookie. She also has a folk-style ribbon rose headband like the Bavarian dancers wear.  Since Bretta is also colored black and white, I decided to give her a German name also. They each have reserve price of $135.00.  I hope you like them both.

Sweet William

I just finished this little guy and his strawberry, yesterday.  The strawberry was hand-dyed. It doesn't show up too well in this photo. But the color graduates from a deep red near the tip to a lighter red with a hint of light yellow and green. near the top. The seeds are tiny size 15 beads. They were the perfect color with a cream colored center with a yellow clear glass overlay.  I've  had these beads for quite a few years. I never knew when I purchased them that they would come in handy for strawberry seeds. If you ever get the chance to travel to Northern California, you should check out Out On A Whim in Cotati. They have the best selection of beads ever.  I just found that they have an online store, too ~ http://whimbeads.com/ I used to do a lot of beadwork on leather and they were the only store in Northern California that carried the small size 15 seed beads in a great number of colors and styles. I also used to do a lot of peyote stitch around plastic animals, too. It was quite a bit of fun. But my eyes aren't as good as they used to be.

Little William's eBay auction will begin Sunday night at 6:45pm PST. His reserve price is $135.00.
Thanks for looking,
Robin

Triplets?

Daffodil

Silas

Ashley

I just put the finishing touches on all three of these felties, yesterday. So they all share the same "birhtday".  They're kind of a different set of triplets, a sea dragon, a little bunny and a sleepy little deer mouse. Their auctions start tonight at 6:45 PM PST.  Both Ashley and Daffodil have a reserve price of $135.00.

There is no reserve price for Silas and he does not have a charity permission letter. But I plan to donate 30% from his sale to Doctors without Borders to help the Hattian quake survivors with their medical needs. Doctors without Borders is a great group and 100% of the donation goes directly to aid and not to administrative costs. I decided not to donate through eBay's Giving Works program as a sizable portion of the donation is taken for their program's administrative costs. $3.00 out of the first $5.00 and a percentage after that. I think it's around 2%.  As with all of my felties, I will send a receipt for the donation so you will know that it has been made.
Thanks, Robin

Little Red Riding Mouse

I finshed this little one this morning. She's just a hair under 3 inches tall, including her ears.  I learned a few more things about Apoxy Sculpt while sculpting her hands and feet. Denatured alcohol works better than water for smoothing and the best time to apply the clay to the wire is with in 15 minutes of mixing. It seems to adhere better then. I also made a couple of little apples and a piece of cheese from Apoxy Sculpt for her goodie basket. They were shaded using Prismacolor colored pencils and markers. The basket was made from tiny pine needles, It was kind of difficult to stitch.

Little Red Riding Hood will be listed tonight at 6:45 pm PST. Her reserve price is $135.00 and her Buy It Now is $224.00.  20% from the sale will go to Old Dog Haven ~.a senior doggie hospice and rescue

Baby Robyn ~ new for 2010

Here's my latest little guy, baby Robyn. His eBay auction begins Sunday night at 6:45 PM PST and his reserve price is $135.00.  He's my first for the New Year and I thought that it would be nice to do something Spring-like to chase away those Winter blues.  His little beak and legs were sculpted from Apoxy Sculpt.  I really am beginning to like this stuff. It needs no baking and air drys in less than 24 hours.

Last year's robin  March 10, 2009

Last year I sculpted an adult robin completely from wool. I liked it at the time. But now since I've tried this, I think I like them much better with Apoxy Sculpt. I know I'll be purchasing some sculpting tools soon.

I hope you all have a very wonderful New Year!
