Iris

I have to admit that I have a love/hate relationship with Tim Holtz products. Every time I go to the craft store, I'm tempted to purchase more and more. The little flowers around Iris are from his collection. They come in pure white. I hand dyed each one with his Ranger alcohol inks. They come in handy for so many things. Iris is available on eBay now.

Queen Beetrice and Emerson

 

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. But here are my latest two. Emerson, the little saw whet owl has sold. But Queen Beetrice is available on eBay now.  I have something special planned for my next post.  I want to outline some products and tools that I find indispensable. Getting the Jump on Easter

Here's little Pansy. Again, I'm having fun making grass. Her little cookie was sculpted from polymer clay. I usually go to Starbucks and buy a cookie for my mouse to taste. But this time I thought it would be nice to send one along with the mouse. A real cookie might get kind of messy. :-)

Meadow

 

Here's my latest wee one, Meadow. I have to tell you, I really love how the grass on her stand turned out. It's hand dyed and painted mohair fabric. It makes me want to make a whole grassy scene for one of my mice.

Percy, a Little Life Sized Flamulated Owl

This is little Percy. He took me at least 4 days to complete. His coloring was quite a challenge and I'm still figuring out ways to perfect it. He is completely dry felted. It's been too cold to wet felt (lol).  See you with my next little one. Click here to see his eBay auction

Rosie's Valentine

Little Rosie sends her love.  Well, it's been exactly nine days since my last post. Not exactly keeping to my once a week promise.  Her little mail box stand was a bit of a challenge.  I finally ended up coating all of the joints with UV resin.  Sophie and Toffee has some that works with regular LED lights. It cures in just a minute or two.  The glittery resin heart was made using two part resin. It takes one day for each layer to cure.  But it's more economical. I hope you're having a great day.  I'll try to post again in 7 days.

Hopes for Spring

Evie Gardener :-)   I hope all of you east of the Rockies are staying warm and snug,  I made this little one in hopes of Spring.  She'll be on eBay starting Tuesday. My favorite part was making her frog clogs and gardening tools.  I'm working on a little needle felted lamb next. I found the perfect little bell to go around her neck.

Meet little Lilly Love Bug. She's my latest mouse on eBay now. I've been looking forward to  doing more Valentine's day themed mice and can't wait to do some Spring themed little ones. The weather here in the high desert has been more Spring like than Winter. So I'm already in the Spring mood. For All of you  who are following me from the East, I hope you all stay nice and  warm. 2018! I can't believe it's been over 2 years since my last post. I've started a few new things and I'm still needle felting.  It seems weird to me how time has really flown by and how so many people still express interest in my blog. My New Year's resolution is to post at least once a week.  Thank you to all of you who have hung in there and still check once in awhile.

Meet Cleo

 

Here's Cleo. Her eBay auction starts tonight at 6:45 PM PST. She was modeled after my Cleo.  Cleo was the best fish ever. She used to splash water at me to let me know she was ready to eat.  She really loved minced prawns and peas. Cleo was a big girl at nearly 12 inches long. I miss her terribly and often think about getting another goldfish. But now that I live in the desert, I don't think I could keep the tank quite cool enough and my water has way too many minerals.

Marigold, the Mouse

Here's little Marigold. She'll be available tonight on eBay. I tried something a bit different with thhs little one. I hand-painted her dress and little headband to match.  I have quite a bit of fun making all of the little things for my mice. I, also wove her little basket and painted and sculpted her egg.
