Planning My 2nd Year Felting Anniversary Celebration & Give Away

My very first feltie

It has been nearly 2 years since I've begun felting and 1 year since I started this blog.  So to celebrate, I'm planning a  drawing  for one of my felties.  It will be scheduled sometime in the month of  March. I'll let you know more about the details some time during the next week.  But first I'd like your help in deciding what little creature will be given away.  So here are some choices. Please let me know by posting which you'd be interested in winning. The most popular one will be the drawing prize.

  •  little mouse
  •  frog
  • baby bunny
  • piglet
  • goldfish
  • puppy
  • kitten
  • baby bird
  • lamb

A kitten! I'm prejudice on cats :) Your bunnies and mice are also lovely! Has it really been just 2 years you've been felting? You're sooo good!

It is hard to choose, I like them all very much, but I think I will choose the little mouse.

Thanks everybody! So far we have a tie between a little mouse and a baby bunny. If we end in a tie before next Wednesday, I'll post a runoff vote. Lirael, yep, Two years this March :-)!
I love the no poo to clean comment, Krex ;-) !

I like all of your little creatures, but the little mice...oh yes a mouse please!
Your first feltie looks like the little felt lamb I had as a baby. I still have it although it lost its little bell.

Josje, my favorite toy toy as a child was a terry cloth lamb with a bell in its ear. I still have what is left of poor lamby. I often think that I'll try to remake him. But I haven't yet.
So now it's:
Mouse = 5
Bunny = 4
And Kitty = 2

I'm sorry, But your comment wouldn't translate with Babelfish. Could you please repost in English?

Sorry...changed my mind when I saw your little Coalette. I don't think I've seen anything cuter!

Wow two years.. I wish my needlefelting had made such progress in two years LOL
I tried to make a little black bunny when we lost our real bunny last christmas (no not in the oven!), but it turned out more bulldog than cute bunny. Never thought I would, as I'm a catperson mostly, but I still miss little Sushi every day!

Sorry to hear about your bunny, Lireal. I love her name. A friend of mine had a little netherland dwarf rabbit named Fidel after Fidel Castro. He used to chase the cats around the house. He was killed by a racoon one day when he was playing in the yard. My friend didn't realize that there were racoons in San Francisco.

P.s. The poll is now closed and the mouse won as the give away prize.

Is Fidel (love that name too!) the inspiration for your newest creation? It's always sad when they go, but to be killed by a racoon is even worse :(

Robin Andreae said... [Reply]

Kind of. Fidel was a little black and white one. He was very fierce for his small size.

A puppy would be my first choice -- just because I am a dog nut! But your bunnies and mice are also absolutely adorable, so they would be happy choices too. I just discovered your blog, and I think I may have a new vice. Your work is wonderful!!!
