Awww they are adorable.

They remind me of my blog header. That dormouse's nest had been disturbed by a cat in someone's back yard. So they took the little mouse to some nature center. It was during the winter and he was supposed to be hibernating. So once he went back to sleep safe at the center, a photographer from the news paper scooped him up and laid him on top of that rose to take his picture. It was a sweet story with an even sweeter picture.

I love little dormice. That's a very sweet story. I was wondering how they got him to rest so peacefully on the rose.

Aaahhh! They look so sweet!
I'm afraid I have just put out a couple of traps in the house as now that the warm weather is over, the mice have found residence in my walls and ceilings again. They can make so much noice! That I wouldn't even mind, but unfortunately they come into my kitchen too and try to get at anything edible.
They are such cute animals. But I wish they would just stay in the walls.

Thanks, everyone :0)
Josje, I know what you mean. We have pack rats. They are really cute. They kind of look like little chinchillas. But they are very destructive. They love to make nests in your car engine and like to chew wiring. The kangaroo rats like to chew phone wiring especially. The only cure we found was to light the underneath of the car at night and to wrap the phone line outside with tin foil. We tried relocating the pack rats. But the same ones came back two nights later.
