A new Little Flutter Mouse

I Just finished this little wee one last night.  I hope you like her. Her eBay auction is scheduled for this Sunday.
I recently received some unsettling news.  Our post office maybe closing and there is no home delivery here. The nearest P. O.  is 22 miles away.  I'm going to a meeting this afternoon and will hopefully know more.  My only hope is that we can reach some kind of solution to keep it open, if only part-time.

Lovely as always - good luck with the auction. That's bad news about your local post office, hopefully there'll be a solution.

Greetings

Thanks, Catherine & Birgit :-)! It looks like they will be closing my Post Office. They will be sending our packages further than I first thought. It will be in Inyo-Kern, 35+ miles away! They are proposing lock boxes out on the highway for our regular mail delivery. I'm worried they won't be too secure. I think I may have to move. But I don't know who would want to buy a house where there is no Post Office. But until then I will be mailing only twice a week from Ridgecrest and only ordering from companies that ship UPS. I may even look into home pick-up from UPS. I'm not too sure when the closure will take place.

I was in Colorado this past week and no computer access, poor me, and so looked forward to seeing what's new. Your little mousie didn't disappoint
Love her to bits. Good luck with PO situation. We are also having some changes here.

Here in Ontario Canada, I've only ever lived in one house that had home delivery; everywhere else there were lock boxes with several larger boxes for packages.
There have never been any problems.
I wouldn't worry too much; just something new to get used to.
BTW I'm Noel's "mummy"; I watch each of your auctions because the characters are just so sweet. You seem to get better & better!

Thanks Cerchio Fatato, Donna & Karin. I wouldn't worry too much about the P.O. thing. But I've had a lock box before in another town where I lived and it was routinely broken into. I had to get a P.O. box in town. But town was only 2 1/2 miles away. Now town will be 38 miles away and I have no car and there isn't public transportation to there. They are planning to put our boxes along the highway near the spot where the public phone was stolen. It was ripped off the wall change and all, twice in less than a year. Our Post Office was also broken into. The crooks weren't too smart. They broke into the Post Office to reach the mini mart next door. They committed a felony for about $100 cash. The highway in front of town gets a lot of traffic to and from the L. A. area and there is virtually no police protection here because we are so far from everything. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they put the boxes in town rather than along the highway.
