Bullet in his New Winter Coat

Here's a pic of Bullet in his winter jacket that he so patiently let me try on him. I had to hand sew it because my machine refused to sew the fleece. My son say's he looks like he's wearing a giant oven mit. But I hope it will keep him warm this winter. I'm making him an in the house kind of snuggly jacket next. It gets pretty cold here in the desert. Bullet had his second vet visit yesterday. Plus we bought him some more dogfood which he hates. It looked like a really good one. It's called Taste of the Wild and is grain free with venison and buffalo. We bought him the other kind with salmon before which he also detested. I think we'll have to find another brand. He really liked the Triumph dogfood. But I can't seem to find it locally. He's doing better. But had a bit of a relapse with his feet when his course of anti-inflamatory was finished. He now has a 14 day supply and 21 days of antibiotics. Plus he gets a bath twice a week instead of once. Poor guy is really going to love this. But it will be nice to see him with a little more energy! His skin is looking better and he's growing some fur in his bald spots. And as you can tell by the pic my work chair is still his comfy spot.

At present I'm sculpting a bully felty that should be done soon. The auction will have no letter which means 20% will be donated to Bull Terrier Rescue. The painting which I'm donating 100% still has no bids. November 30 is the last day to submit an offer. So please bid now to get a nice painting and to help the bullies :-)!

It is so nice to see him doing a little better. He does look very comfy in his little jacket. I am sure he appreciates being warm. You are so right, people don't realize how cold the winter can be in the desert. We are in the 40's here this morning.

He is feeling a lot better. This morning we went for a 4 block walk. He could of kept going. But his poor little feet were getting pretty sore. I know what you mean Joanne. It was 31 this morning. But it looks like we're getting some Santa Anna's this weekend and it will be in the high 70's! We're up about 4,000 feet and it's usually in the 40's or 50's during the day by now.

Robin Andreae; there are quite some vets here in the Netherlands who are in favour of a raw food diet, My Bully had terrible feet and since I changed to it it is improving.
It works especially for skin allergies, kidney diseases etc.
It's just a tip,
Love ,
