Chippy, the mouse and the Bear

Well after some real struggles with my Native doll, I decided to sell the bear seperately.  It's so warm here that when I work on an area of the piece the other gets pushed out of propotion no matter how long I put it in the refridgerator. So I'm trying to leach the clay and will see if that works better.

So I decided to work on some felted guys. Presently, I'm working on a party pig. (I'm now addicted to Farmville thanks to some cousins who play on facebook) I'm also researching gypsy caravans. I'd love to do a 1/12 scale one just for me. My latest obession is Gogol Bordello, a sort of gypsy punk band. I love their music and got their latest cd (Transcontinental Hustle) as birthday present. It has such energy. Eugene Hutz is just too cool.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Summer and will post pics of the Party pig soon.
I got this one in my email, today and thought I'd share it with you all. It seemed only all too fitting with the bear.

Your bear is awesome Robin. Love his teeth and claws!
And I think it goes without saying that little chippy there has got to be the cutest mouse on the planet.
Robin!!! I found this band's website and have been playing their music. I'm totally lovin' it! They are now "bookmarked". Thanks for mentioning them or I probably would have completely missed out.

Thanks Conni & Fiver :-)!
I'm a total Gogol Bordello addict. I first heard about Eugene Hutz in the movie "Everything is Illuminated" with Elijah Wood. He was fantastic. If you've never seen it, I'd highly recommend it. I used to be a pretty hardcore punk and haven't been really too excited with any of the new music until I heard Gogol Bordello. They were playing in L.A. in June. I was really bummed I couldn't go.

Dear Robin,

both of them are breathtaking. I agree with Kristy, the bear is really awesome. And the little mouse is an absolutely cute fellow. You know what? I'm so glad there is such a thing like blogger - how else could I get a chance to anticipate in the work and art of people who are talented like you?!

Greetings from Germany
Birgit
