Here's little Roly' Poly. I tried something different for this little hedgie's spines. I sewed cotton crochet yarn in. Each spine took two stitches to anchor it in. I liked the look better than spine of my other spine experiments. But it was way too time consuming. It took me twelve hours just to do the spines. little Roly' Poly's auction starts on Sunday at the usual time of 6:45 PM PST.
omg its so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh Robin, I absolutely love hedgehogs and I have been hoping you'd make another one! She is gorgeous! You have so much patience. Time consuming yes, but totally worth it, she's lovely!

ReplyDeleteAll of us who ever made a felted hedgehog with seperate quills, can tell how much work they require. That's why I still haven't made a 2nd one.
But the time spend, pays off, such a cutie!
Thanks everyone :-) I know what you mean Helen. You could try using the hedgehog mohair. It's kind of pricey though at about $138.00 a yard. I found some on eBay for less than $15 for a piece 14.5 inches by 9 inches.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, he's quite PERFECT!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have amazing talent, I love this adorable hedgehog!
