When I was a kid, the winters in Illinois would get so cold that the mice would hide in your shoes and slippers at night. You always had to shake out your shoes before you dare stick a toe in to avoid a surprise. My Dad once told me that they were checking to see if the shoes the elves made were in need of mending. I found this ceramic baby shoe when I was in town on Saturday and just couldn't resist making a little mouse to fit into it. So here's Little Benjamin and his shoe. His auction starts tonight at 6:45 PM PDT.
it's so cute
