Here's some pictures of my latest ones. I revisited the idea of Little Red Riding Hood. She's my third one. They all have such individual personalities. I also got a few better pictures of the goose. She's an impressive 14 inches tall. y second little one is a turtle. When I was a kid, I was completely obsessed with turtles. My favorite band was, of course, the Turtles, even though I was too young to get any of the lyrics. lol. I hope you enjoy my latest felties. Their auctions stat tonight at the usual time of 6:45 PM PST.

A Little Pilot, a Goose, Yummy Cookies & More on the Give-Away
First off. Here's little Emilio Air-Heart. He's presemtly on eBay. I hope you all like him. he was fun to do,
Next is my white goose. She stands 14 inches tall and made from Corriedale and Angora wool. She has blue German glass eyes. This goose will be for sale this Sunday on eBay. If you are interested in her before this Sunday, please email me :-)
Next, is a cookie recipe I came up with by altering the oatmeal cookie recipe from the current edition of "Cook This, Not That". (A really great cookbook if you're counting calories but don't want to give up on good food)
Expresso, Cocoa Crackles
Preheat oven 375 degrees Farenheight
Yeild 20 cookies
1 Cup quick cooking Oats
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 large egg
3 T cocoa
1 1/2 T expresso powder
2 T milk (1%)
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C white sugar
- In a large mixing bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
- Stir the oats into the mixture.
- In a seperat bowl, mix together the melted butter, vanilla, cocoa, expresso pwder, egg, milk and sugars.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry whil stirring by hand.
- Drop onto parchment lined cookie sheet by the tablespoonful. 1 inch apart.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes
- Lift parchment onto cooling rack
They're really good while they are warm! Plus they're only 110 calories per cookie. But be warned it's hard to eat just one.
Finally, what I've been meaning to do for some time now. Yes, it's give away time. First off, like last year, I will be posting a poll to see what kind of animal you'd like for the give away. The poll will run until january 31, 2013. After the poll has ended, every comment made on my blog during the month of February counts as one entry. Multiple comments per posting will only count as one entry. I will draw the winner on February 28, 2013. There will be something new this year. A second place prize of my copy of "I Felt Awesome" by Moxie.
Good luck to you all!

Looking Forward to the New Year
Wow! I can't believe it's nearing the year's end! We made past the 2012 Apocalypse. Lol. I've been thinking a lot about some changes and additions I'd like to make with my art. I recently have been toying with the idea of creating dioramas with my little critters. At present I'm working on a little sleeping mouse in a mushroom fairy ring. He should be finished by this Sunday. I'm also working on a pair of steampunk rats. It seems that every new year I have to make a rat. This coming year it will be two. I'm also going to be adding my concept art in the sale of some of my more elaborate pieces. Just look in the title for the acronym CA to see if they will be included in the sale. Also coming up in the new year is my annual give-away. Please stay tuned for the details.
