More New Pics of Wilson, the Baby Bunny
It's Spring here in the desert. But not for long! We've got snow predicted for this Wednesday below 3000 feet and I live at almost 4000 feet. So I thought I'd get some pics of my little bunny with some of the wildflowers in my yard.

Stanley, Oliver's Buddy
I just finished little Stanley last night. He was sculpted then hand dyed his beautiful bright Spring green. He was then shaded with archival artist inks and accented with needle felted red and yellow wool. His little legs are wired and posable and he has wire enforced Apoxie Sculpt claws. I thought it would be funny to have the hare and the tortoise. But mine ended up being a turtle instead.
Stanley was modeled after one of those little red eared sliders that were so popular in the pet stores some years back. My sisters and I had them as pets when we were kids. My older sister named hers Snow Ball and mine was Pepper because he was so active. I don't know why Snow Ball got his name. Maybe because he was so round? I definitely don't remember green snow.
Stanley's auction starts this Sunday @ 6:45 PM PST. His reserve price is $100.00 and his Buy It Now will be $165.00.
Thanks for looking :-)

Oliver, a Wild March Hare
Here's my latest bunnny. I decided to give him a leaner look, more like a brown hare of a jackrabbit. He stands at 9 1/2 inches tall, including his long ears. His auction starts this Sunday at 6:45 PM PST. Oliver's reserve price is the usual $135.00.

Charlie & his Kite
Charlie Brown doll not included
I finished this little guy today. He was inspired by my alter ego, Charlie Brown. I was the girl version. Flying kites even though kite eating trees lurked around every corner, playing baseball even though I had no talent for it and being gullable enough to fall for anything like Lucy pulling the football away were my trademarks, not to mention my incredibly round head. Of all the Charlie Browns, I was the Charlie Browniest. Every Spring meant heading out to the field next to my house and flying kites or playing baseball with the neighborhood kids. Sometimes I would run with the kite spinning behind me until it took a nose dive into the ground. That usually meant my kite needed a longer tail. Some of my kites head incredibly long tails. It was my fix all for all kite flying problems except for kite eating trees. But there was nothing more satisfying than to see my kite up in the air drifting among the clouds. When I got older I was fortunate enough to meet Charles Schulz. He was buying a gift for his daughter at a gallery where my beadwork was being shown. I used to do realistic portraits of animals on leather bags. He passed away not long after our meeting. I wanted to go to his memorial, but there were just too many people. I did make it to the grand opening of the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center and visited his ice skating rink. Both are a must see for any "Peanuts" fan.
Here are the facts about my little Charlie. His auction starts this Sunday at 6:45 pm PST and his reserve price is $135.00. He stands at 4 3/4 inches tall, ears included.
Thanks for looking!

New Store, Peace Felt & Reformatting
I've opened an eBay store! I decided to give it a try since eBay is offering a free trial this month. Also, I found out that with eBay's new fee structure it may actually save on fees.
I'm also reformatting my computer today. It's been increasingly more difficult to connect to the internet. It sometimes takes me over an hour to get a stable dial-up connection. I've ran every diagnostic that I can think of and everything checks out fine. My last resort was to reformat the hard drive. Since I don't have any shipping to do this week, it's the perfect time to get it done. I may be MIA (missing in action) for the next couple of days while I reload all of my programs.
But most importantly, I want to tell you about the Peace Felt project. I just found about it recently and wanted to share it with my crafty friends. It's open to all types of arts and crafts as long as the piece contains 25% handmade felt. It will be more than the usual kind of exchange. The project hopes to promote peace, love and unity throughout the world with unconditional giving. I think this is such a cool idea! It's open to both individual artists and groups. You can get all of the details at PeaceFelt.org. They also have a blog at PeaceFelt.blogspot.com. So far, they have participants from Nova Scotia, CA, Tasmania, Australia, United Kingdom, United States and Iraq. I hope to see you all there! :-) I can hardly wait for the exchange on September 21, world peace day.

Cubby & Daisy
Here it is Sunday, again! I've got a lot of things to write about and should post more on Monday. But here's a quick run down about these two. Both start tonight on eBay at 6:45 pm PST and have a reserve price of $135.00. Cubby has been weighted with steel shot and has Apoxie Sculpt nose and claws. His pics were kind of hard to do. I always have a hard time photographing blacks. I can't seem to get the light and exposure right. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
